GP Moto classics is a company, founded by highly enterprising and knowledgeable partners with a common vison of sourcing parts to exacting standards without compromise. We have more than 2 decades of core engineering expertise in sourcing and supplier development of Automotive parts.
We will concentrate firstly on Yamaha RD350 parts., but our vision is to expand to other Global brands too. We want to build our business on positive experience and provide our customers with the best service possible.
We have on offer RD350 clutch dampers to Original specifications which was never available from Yamaha. The material, dimensions and physical characteristics meets and exceeds OEM standards.
Clutch damper damage is one of the weaknesses of RD350, almost all RD have these dampers broken as they have a very tough life due to heat, load and ageing.
Once dampers are broken it has direct effect on engine smoothness, gear change and ride quality. Picture shows typical condition of RD clutch basket internal where you can see almost all factory fitted dampers are disintegrated. We are offering a complete kit, as various dampers have key roles in noise reduction, clutch operation and assembly wear. These dampers are made of special polymer which can resist high temperature, modern oils, cyclic load during vehicle operation and will resist shrinkage or swell with time.
Most aftermarket dampers are made out of cheap material to incorrect dimensions which does more harm than good to your motorcycle.
Dampers are designed the engine specific, just fitting any random rubber goes against the design intent of the engine.
Please note: Supplied rivets in the kit are not simple 5mm off the shelf part. These rivets are custom made to a correct dimensions which fill fit perfectly in the basket avoiding any unnecessary rotational play. These rivets are heat treated to the right hardness and will avoid any damage due to more than necessary riveting force.
The challenge for us is to compete with the growing number of “one-stop shops” that promise to supply all parts under the sun, regardless of quality and reliability. We understand the design intricacies and system interaction, so we not only source but test and develop before we release into the market.
Our process starts by collecting data, analysing original samples which includes chemical compositional analysis, dimensional analysis, and then finding right supplier in the Global market who could produce parts to correct specifications. We have access to coordinate measurement machines, advance labs for material analysis and engineers with real world Automotive product development experience. We do not launch a product which we won't use on our motorcycle.
The next important product for us is the RD350 air-filter to original specifications. The material (paper), dimensions and physical characteristics meets and exceeds OEM standards. We are in process of validating the filter in various test conditions.
Air filter is critical to fuelling and engine reliability. Aftermarket filters are either too free to flow or too restrictive or becomes restrictive with little dust loading, besides the vacuum load profile is all over the place. Fitting exact filter will provide the performance as it should be with rock solid engine reliability. Reliability is directly associated with fuelling and dust particle size. If pore size is incorrect i.e., free flowing, it lets the fine dust into the engine which eats up the crank and pistons prematurely by polishing and eventually increasing clearance adding to the noise rattle and loss of power. Not all paper or foam that you see is adequate for RD, having correct filter element is necessary and should match what Yamaha recommends after spending millions in testing, performing countless hours running durability test engines and other development tests which aftermarket filter manufacturers are totally unaware off due to lack of engine product development background. The paper weight, type, number of pleats, foam end pads is all important for the correct fuel. Lastly the air filter has vacuum load profile with which carburettor is tuned to i.e., at V-Max & Max Load the filter should protect the engine from heating and abnormal wear etc.
